Waffle on - 7 remarkably different waffles you must try in Hyderabad

You should eat a waffle, you cant be sad if you eat a waffle!

I've always loved waffles, enjoyed them to the fullest and all of us might have. Each of us probably have tried the regular waffles, topped with ice-cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce etc., but I just love trying something new every time. So I have short listed 7 remarkably not-so-common waffles, which I personally tried and totally loved. This is the post dedicated to everyone who not only love waffles, but also loves trying something different!

1. Rainbow confetti waffle

This is a waffle made with a red velvet base. So, what makes it different is, it is topped with a slice of colorful rainbow confetti cake, whipped cream and sprinkles. Yes, that's a slice of cake on a waffle. It's a crispy waffle and tastes absolutely delicious. And this becomes a double bonanza for people who love both waffle and cake. Make sure to give it a try if you are one of them!

Where : Huber & Holly, Banjarahills

Price : INR 199

2. Black waffle

Yes, you heard me right. This literally is a black waffle made out of the charcoal batter. A charcoal waffle to the go. I really loved the charcoal ice-creams in recent days. If you also love them, you should definitely give this a try. It is topped with vanilla ice-cream, chocolate sauce, chocochips and sprinkles.

Where : Cream Chemistry, Himayatnagar

Price : INR 180

3. Tiramisu waffle

Tiramisu is a coffee flavored dessert which has layers of whipped cream and mascarpone cheese, flavored with cocoa in between the lady fingers. Here the waffles themselves are made from ladyfinger batter. Instead of piping into fingers its heaped into a waffle maker and cooked until crisp and golden on the outside. The taste honestly surprised me. It doesn't disappoint the tiramisu lovers at all. If you are one, do not miss this.

Where : Dr. Bubbles, Banjarahills

Price : INR 140

4. Belgian waffles

These are not the regular waffles. They are different in pattern, batter, texture. They also require a waffle iron with deeper and large grid pattern. The difference in batter makes them richer in texture.

We have two places in town which serve Belgian waffles and I've one pick from each.

i) Samurai salted caramel waffle

It is a Belgian waffle, with a hint of charcoal powder in the batter which adds to the crispiness of it. It is served with a thick layer of salted caramel sauce in between two halves and also on one of the sides. With more than 10 different toppings available, this surely won't disappoint you.

Where : The Belgian waffle co, Begumpet

Price : INR 140

ii) Blueberry cream cheese waffle

This is a Belgian waffle which mimics the taste of a cheesecake. It has blueberry and cream cheese filling in between both waffles reminding you the taste of a cheesecake. This is for those who are in a mood of both waffle and a cheese cake.

Where : Wowfills, M.G. Road

Price ; INR 120

5. Brownie waffle

Yes! This is the proof that anything is possible with waffles. This waffle is topped with a fudgy, gooey brownie , vanilla ice-cream and loads of roasted nuts. I still remember the flavors. It was way too perfect. The waffle was delicious and the brownie n ice-cream totally complimented it. You should not miss this one if you love waffles and brownies and also want to try em together.

Where : Hangout, Jubileehills

Price : INR 165

6. Peri peri chicken waffle

The only savory waffle on the list. I cannot say this was great, but you can still give it a try. Regular waffle is topped with chicken cooked in spicy peri peri sauce and lettuce. Mayo, peri peri sauce are drizzled over it.

Where : Waffle World, Madhapur

Price : INR 189

7. Red velvet waffle sandwich

These are the cutest waffles so far. These are heart shaped red velvet waffles sandwiched with red velvet stone rolled ice-cream, topped with chocolate sauce, dark and white choco chips.

Where : Hangout, Jubileehills

Price : INR 165

So, here are 7 out of the way waffles which you can give a try. I hope this post would help your next waffle cravings.

Thank you!
