PUNUGULU - recipe
I was really craving some street-side food the other day. So, decided make to something and here it goes - PUNUGULU. Made them with the help of mom! And they turned out real good and yum! 🤤🤤🤤
Incase you wanna try them too, here is the recipe :
▪️Soak rice and Urad dal over night - in equal ratio (1:1). ▪️Blend it this real smooth - until you get the desired consistency.
▪️In a separate bowl, add - chopped onions, chopped green chillies, finely chopped ginger, 1 tsp jeera (cumin), half tsp ajwain (carom) and salt to taste. Mix this really well.
▪️Now, combine the batter with the mixture and mix it well. The batter is ready!
▪️Deep fry it until golden brown. Voila! It's ready. Serve them hot with either tomato ketchup or peanut chutney. I like both the combinations!
Once you've the soaked ingredients, it hardly take half hour for the recipe. It really is very simple.
