Valentine's special recipe - Home-made beetroot hummus with tortilla chips
I took a challenge to make a healthy recipe and also incorporate valentine's day theme to it. And I'm so proud of myself and how this one turned out. Made this 'beetroot hummus' and tortilla chips from scratch using @sengeesolasz extra light olive oil.
SOLASZ Extra Light Olive Oil is one of the healthiest oils. It is not chemically refined and is rich in antioxidants. Tiny steps do make a huge difference. Little changes like these such switching to a option for cooking, does make a difference. This valentine's, take one step towards health!
RECIPE :
Ingredients :
Soaked and boiled chickpeas - 1cup
Diced and roasted beetroot - 1/4 cup
Tahini - 4tbsp (if not, roasted sesame powder - 4tbsp+2tbsp olive oil)
Garlic - 4 cloves
Salt - to taste
SOLASZ Extra Light Olive Oil - 1/4cup
Procedure :
Take all the above mentioned ingredients into a mixer and blend them until you get a smooth consistency. Add 2-3tbsp water if required.
Voila! It's ready.
Take the blended mixture into a bowl and top it with a dash of extra light olive oil and pinch toasted sesame seeds. And it's ready. This recipe is so simple and takes barely 5-10 minutes.
I used SOLASZ Extra Light Olive Oil for the recipe. You can order it through Amazon.
